2021 SPRING REGISTRATION
FOR OCONEE KNIGHTS LACROSSE

We are pleased to announce that registration for the 2021 spring lacrosse season is now open. Oconee Lacrosse is a recreational program open to boys and girls of all abilities in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.
$275 per player early bird price 10/21/20 to12/1/20. Price is $295 per player 12/2/20 to 12/17/20. A discount of $25 per player for families registering more than one player. Registration fees go toward uniforms; pennies; practice field rentals; referees for games; GLL fee and team equipment.
Online Registration TIPS-
1- Make sure that you have registered with US Lacrosse before completing our online registration.
2- If your current US Lacrosse membership will expire before 5/31/21, you will need to RENEW the membership prior to Oconee Knights online registration. (The system will not recognize you if you don't do this, and you will be unable to Register Online).
3- Follow the prompts thoroughly through the registration process.
4- After you have added your child(ren) to the register list, click the "PAY NOW" button at the lower right corner. This will take you to the next page that will let you select if you want to pay in full or pay by split scheduled payments.
5-You will receive an email confirmation with the registration totals, etc. at the end.
Visa and Mastercard credit cards will be accepted. When registering, you may choose to make split payments which will automatically be applied to the payment method you choose. A $100. deposit will be due upon registration; $100. will be due on December 5, 2020 and the remaining balance will be due on January 5, 2021. Payments will automatically be deducted from your original credit card on the dates noted above.
Practice and Game Schedules-
Practice will begin the end of January 2021. Teams will practice 2 times per week once the games begin. Game schedules for the season will be announced in February with games on Saturdays in Gwinnett County as part of the Gwinnett Lacrosse League (GLL). The GLL Championship Games will be beginning May 2021.
ALL EQUIPMENT NEEDS TO BE FURNISHED BY THE PLAYER.
Players on any of the girls teams will need a girls lacrosse stick, lacrosse eye protection and a mouthguard. The estimated cost of girls equipment is $100-$400 depending on brand and quality.
All boys players will need a lacrosse stick, NOCSAE certified helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouthguard and a protective athletic cup. The estimated cost of boys equipment is $150-$600 depending on brand and quality.
There are several online retailers that offer the equipment individually or in starter packs. In Athens, Dick's Sporting Goods is a good source. Look for Dick's lacrosse day with discounted equipment sometime in December.
A copy of a current sports related physical (using the required GLL Physical form) for your player performed by a physician will be required.
Membership in US Lacrosse is required of all players and you will be required to enter your membership number to register a player on our site. The membership fee is $30. for 12 months from joining or renewing. Please sign up today at http://www.uslacrosse.org/membership.aspx. US Lacrosse membership should not expire during the season (1/20/2021 - 5/1/31/21).
Our Coaches- We are blessed to have a dedicated group of all volunteer coaches who have played at the high school and collegiate levels. We are currently looking for assistant coaches with lacrosse experience. College students, professionals or anyone else with experience, a love for the game and a desire to teach the skills and values of the game is welcome. Who we play- Boys and girls K-3 will practice and play games at OVP. If you have an expierenced 3rd grader who would like to play up on the lightening team please let us know. Boys and girls teams in grades 4-8 will play in the Gwinnett Lacrosse League (GLL). Most of the games will be played at parks in Gwinnett County. Most of these parks are within an hour’s drive of Oconee County.
Additional GLL Paperwork Required-
The Oconee Knights participate in the Gwinnett Lacrosse League (GLL) for all games. Each player must register with GLL. There is no additional cost, but you will be required to correctly complete Electronic forms (Eforms) and submit them electronically. Please refer to the GLL Eform Page for more details.

The Oconee Youth Lacrosse Association is made up of parents of the players on our teams. To operate a successful program, all parents should be prepared to volunteer during the season for various team activities.
